The data preparation device for a computer hologram according to the present embodiment comprises: an acquired image conversion unit that acquires an original image and converts the image to a real quincunx sampling signal; a spatial domain condition setting unit for generating a spatial-domain complex-number quincunx sampling signal; a spatial domain breakdown unit for breaking down the spatial-domain complex-number quincunx sampling signal; an inverse-conversion unit for applying an inverse-Fourier transform respectively to the broken down signals; a frequency domain synthesis unit for synthesizing the signals subjected to the inverse-Fourier transform; a frequency domain condition setting unit for replacing the amplitude value of the synthesized signal with a prescribed value; a frequency domain breakdown unit for breaking down the synthesis signal with the amplitude value replaced by the prescribed value; a conversion unit for applying a Fourier transform to the broken down sampling signals; and a spatial domain synthesis unit for synthesizing the sampling signals subjected to Fourier transform.
