PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing an electrode capable of preventing thinning of transfer start end thickness of an active material paste.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrode includes a thickness adjustment step in which a protrusion 12a whose thickness is thicker than other portions is formed in an active material paste 12 adhered to a coating roll 22 while rotating the coating roll 22 at a constant speed. Furthermore, this method includes a transfer step in which the protrusion 12a formed in the active material paste 12 of the coating roll 22 is brought into contact with a metal foil 11 at the transfer start position of the active material paste 12 to the metal foil 11. |
