A hot water heating apparatus supplies hot water obtained from an operation of a heat-pump refrigeration cycle to a heat radiator for room heating. Further, the hot water heating apparatus controls an operation of a compressor of the heat-pump refrigeration cycle by comparing a detected temperature and a set temperature of an operating unit with each other. Still further, the hot water heating apparatus sets the operation of the compressor, when the operation is in an off state under the above-described control and if a temperature of the hot water after passing through the heat radiator falls below a predetermined temperature, to an on state regardless of the above-described control.
