PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide suitable image processing apparatus and method capable of obtaining an excellent image quality by taking account of the system error affecting to actual print, and to provide a print system, a generation method of a halftone processing rule, a halftone image, and production method and program of a printed matter.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus (20) includes setting means (67) for setting parameters related to system error assumed when printing by means of a print system, simulation image generation means (68) generating a simulation image reflecting the system error shown by parameters, image evaluation means (74) for evaluating the image quality of the simulation image, and halftone processing generation means (58) generating a halftone processing rule defining the processing content of halftone processing for use in the print system based on a simulation image evaluation of which falls within a target range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 36 |
