A control apparatus (100) connected to a display apparatus (200) is provided. The control apparatus (100) includes a main board (101) configured to generate a first control signal that controls the display apparatus (200); a light source driver (185) configured to generate a second control signal that drives a light source of the display apparatus (200); a power supply (190) configured to supply power to the display apparatus (200); and a serial transceiver (195) configured to perform a serial communication with the display apparatus (200) and transmit the first control signal, the second control signal, and the power to the display apparatus (200) via the serial communication.
