The present invention relates to an intraocular lens insertion instrument, wherein an insertion tube portion on the instrument main body is inserted into the eyeball through an incision formed in the ocular tissue and a plunger is pushed into the instrument main body in order to discharge a deformable intraocular lens into the eyeball from the tip of the insertion tube portion inserted therein. In addition, this instrument is provided with a resistance increase means for increasing plunging resistance of the plunger into the instrument main body at or after a point in time where the intraocular lens is discharged into the eyeball from the tip of the insertion tube portion.
