PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve positioning accuracy of optical waveguide cores in a ferrule without complicating the manufacturing process of an optical waveguide.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an optical connector includes: attaching an optical waveguide having a plurality of waveguide cores to a ferrule; obtaining a central coordinate of each of the plurality of waveguide cores shown in the connection surface of the ferrule; calculating an approximation straight line connecting the central coordinates, and an arrangement center of the plurality of waveguide cores; and forming two or more guide pin holes on the ferrule on the basis of the approximation straight line and the arrangement center. |
