A network system (10) comprising a master wireless access point (mAP) (12) operatively connected to one or more slave access points (sAPs) (18), the mAP (12) being configured, in use, to configure the wireless access password of the or each sAP (18) and comprising an open user interface (40) wirelessly accessible by a wireless device (20), a security gateway (52) and a secure user interface (64) wirelessly accessible by the wireless device (20), wherein, in use, the wireless device (20) connects (30) to the mAP (12) via the open user interface (40) and exchanges security credentials (54, 56) to bypass the security gateway (52) to gain access to the secure user interface (64), and wherein, when the wireless device (20) is connected to the secure user interface (64), the mAP (12) is configured to: configure (72) an SSID and/or wireless access password for a sAP (18) and to share (76) the SSID and/or wireless access password with the wireless device (20), whereupon, the wireless device (20) disconnects from the mAP (12) and re-connects (78, 80) to the network via the sAP (18) using the wireless access password configured by the mAP (12). |
