PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shielding pigment composition that can give a transparent neutral gray and vivid bluish hue, maximizes absorption in a near infrared region, and has excellent absorption characteristics in a near infrared region.SOLUTION: The heat shielding pigment composition for coloring comprises a compound oxide black pigment (A) comprising oxides of chief component metals including copper, manganese and iron, and metal compound particles (B) having heat ray shielding performance. The compound oxide black pigment (A) has a molar ratio of manganese/iron ranging from 3/1 to 30/1 and a molar ratio of copper/(manganese+iron) ranging from 1/2 to 1.2/2. Both of the compound oxide black pigment (A) and the metal compound particles (B) show a maximum wavelength in a wavelength region from 400 to 700 nm, where the transmittance is maximum in a wavelength region from 400 to 1,400 nm, and give a neutral gray tone. |
