PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-type surface lighting device having a simple configuration capable of guiding light under a superior light guiding efficiency from a plurality of light sources by a transparent material in a direction substantially perpendicular to an incident direction and provide a vehicle emblem using this device.SOLUTION: In this invention, a plurality of light sources 6a, 6b are arranged side by side along a light guide inverse direction X, and this invention is made such that a light introduction part 5A of a transparent material 5 comprises an incident plane 13 extending in a light guide inverse direction X and opposing against the plurality of light sources 6a, 6b; and a reflection plane 15 extending from an outer end edge of the incident plane 13 in a slant linear manner, inclined at an acute angle with a larger angle than a critical angle of material quality of the transparent material 5 in respect to the incident plane 13 so as to reflect light incident from the incident plane 13 in a thickness direction (an incident direction) (d) and feeding it to a transparent part 5B in a transparent direction X0. The plurality of light sources 6a, 6b are arranged to be displaced in the light guide inverse direction X rather than from an interface P between the reflection plane 15 extending in slant form and the transparent part 5B. |
