Disclosed is a method of generating a graphical user interface for an interactive map, with features or objects displayed on the map. The map having map tiles each having an image composed of vector layers and an associated UFT grid. Generating the user interface includes accessing a database that stores the features and objects, each associated with metadata. Some of the features or objects are included on the map, the features or objects being user selectable. In response to a user input, including a zoom action, a pan action, a feature selection, a layer selection, a geosearch, a heatmap or a keyword search, requesting from a server updated map tiles. The updating being based on the user input. The updated tiles being applied to the map. Also disclosed is a method of generating a user interface for an interactive map comprised of layers and an associated UTF grid. |
