A computer-implemented clinical pathway enhancement method having a plurality of care steps, where the clinical pathway is a predefined clinical pathway which is associated with an individual patient or a cohort of patients, or a merged clinical pathway obtained by merging two or more such predefined clinical pathways associated with the patient or patient cohort, is proposed in which the clinical pathway is integrated with at least one non-clinical process so as to associate non-clinical data from the non-clinical process with at least one care step which is related to that non-clinical data; and using the non-clinical data associated with the care step to produce one or more enriched clinical pathways. The non-clinical data may relate to administrative and/or clinical procedures, and/or clinical assets of one or more clinical centers. The administrative and/or clinical procedures may comprise at least one of: authorization requirements; timing requirements; personnel requirements; cost requirements; and equipment requirements. The clinical assets may comprise at least one of: staff resources; location; and equipment resources. |
