PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that can easily and effectively reduce distortion of an image of a sample that is formed by injecting a fluid into depressions.SOLUTION: Depressions 211 capable of holding a liquid are provided in a top face of a tabular plate 21, and at the bottom of the depressions 211, a distortion detection pattern GP3 is provided on the bottom surface 22 transparent to visible light, and is a regular pattern having transmittance to light at a predetermined wavelength lower than that of the bottom surface. When a fluid is subjected to imaging while being injected into the depressions of such a sample holding plate 2, the degree of distortion of an image due to the surface condition of the fluid can be estimated from an image of the known distortion detection pattern, and thereby distortion of the image can be easily and effectively reduced. |
