PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning material for packing which improves a cushioning function by dispersing a lateral impact.SOLUTION: A lateral pad 21b is positioned along at least one side face part of a packed object stored in an outer box. The lateral pad 21b is a hollow substantially rectangular cylindrical body comprising: an inside plate 211 positioned on the side face part side of the packed object; an outside plate 212 positioned on a side wall side of the outer box facing the side face part; and an upper plate 213 provided continuously between these plates through an inner folding line 25a and an outer folding line 25b. The inner folding line 25a and the outer folding line 25b are formed along a longitudinal direction of the upper plate 213. Inner notches 20a open in the inner folding line 25a, and an outer notch 20b opens in the outer folding line 25b. The inner notches 20a and the outer notch 20b are formed alternately in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
