PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analytic method for sugar chain structure of sugar peptide that can easily identify a detailed sugar chain structure without being affected greatly by an amino acid sequence of a peptide part.SOLUTION: In an analytic method, a sugar chain structure of sugar peptide is analyzed through negative ion mass analysis. An MSprecursor is selected out of fragment ions originating from negative ions of sugar peptide with which N-combined type sugar chain is combined and MSanalysis is taken. As the MSprecursor, a fragment ion is selected which has a mass charge ratio (G+97-z)/z. Here, G is the mass of a sugar chain residue and "z" is a natural number. In this analytic method, structure information on the N-combined type sugar chain can be extracted based upon an MSspectrum of the sugar peptide obtained through the mass analysis. |
