[Problem] To provide a sensor mounting device for a hydraulic cylinder, the sensor mounting device being configured so that, even if a fastening screw is strongly tightened when mounting a position sensor to the hydraulic cylinder using a mounting band, the mounting band is not broken by shear force. [Solution] A mounting band (11) is provided with: an annular section (16) to be wound and mounted to the outer periphery of a cylinder tube (5); and a pair of sensor gripping sections (13a, 13b) formed at the opposite ends of the annular section (16), the pair of sensor gripping sections (13a, 13b) gripping the position sensor (3) and being fastened by a fastening screw (14) from both sides. The sensor gripping sections (13a, 13b) are formed by overlapping reinforcement plates (17a, 17b) on the outer surfaces of reinforcement plate mounting sections (12a, 12b) located at the ends of the band body (12). The front edges (12c) of the reinforcement plate mounting sections (12a, 12b) are formed rectilinearly. Sloped sections (17e) are formed at the front ends of the reinforcement plates (17a, 17b). The front edges (12c) of the reinforcement plate mounting sections (12a, 12b) extend along bend lines (17d) for the sloped sections (17e). |
