The present invention pertains to dry compositions comprising at least one reagent and at least one control dye, in particular a fluorescent dye, and methods of reconstituting respective dry compositions for performing chemical and/or biotechnological methods involving the comprised reagent. The control dye allows to monitor and control the reconstitution process thereby avoiding errors in the chemical and/or biotechnological method due to variations/errors in the reconstitution process of the reagent comprised in the dry composition. Furthermore, the control dye allows to analyse residual moisture in the dry composition thereby allowing to monitor and control the quality of the production process and the intactness of the dry composition after storage. |
