PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen device allowing a screen to be lifted only by operating a ball chain on a side of pull-out for taking up the screen.SOLUTION: In a screen device, a take-up shaft 2 of a screen 3 is supported in a take-up box 1 in a rotatable manner and the screen 3 is opened and closed by rotating the take-up shaft by hand-operated operation of a ball chain 10 wrapped around a sprocket 9. The ball chain is configured by flexibly connecting a number of ball members 11 by a connection strip 12. In a chain guide 15 disposed on a side of pull-out of the ball chain for taking up the screen, there are formed: an open passage (inside passage 20) which does not limit movement of the ball chain in the pull-out direction and into which the ball chain is freely introduced in an introduction direction according to the direction in which the ball chain extends from a chain guide; and an open passage 21 where the ball member is locked to a slit edge 25a and its movement is blocked. |
