PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fly ash cleaning apparatus and a fly ash cleaning method which enable radioactive material to be efficiently removed from the fly ash with reduced equipment cost and operation cost.SOLUTION: The fly ash cleaning apparatus comprises: a primary cleaning device 1 generating primary dissolved water in which radioactive material is dissolved and fly ash slurry; a secondary cleaning device 2 generating secondary dissolved water in which radioactive material included in the primary slurry is dissolved and secondary slurry of which radioactive material concentration is lower than that of the primary slurry; an absorption device 3 which absorbs and removes the radioactive material included in the secondary cleaning drain water by use of an absorbent; a dehydration device 4 which dehydrates the secondary slurry; and a solidification device 5 which solidifies the radioactive material included in the primary cleaning drain water and the dehydration processing drain water. The secondary cleaning device 2 receives as the secondary cleaning water the absorption processing drain water from the absorption device 3 and the solidification processing drain water from the solidification device 5 in addition to make-up water supplied from the outside. |
