PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder coating apparatus in which clogging and so on in a coating gun are detected thereby preventing the occurence of coating irregularities and so on in a coated object, and also the time of replacement of the coating gun is timely determined whereby a replacement cost therefor can be reduced.SOLUTION: A powder coating apparatus is provided with an abnormality detection device 12 comprising: a flow sensor 15 for detecting flow rate of a powdered paint in a powdered paint supply pipe 11; a standard flow rate memory 18 in which a standard flow rate value of the powered paint in the powdered paint supply pipe 11 is stored; a comparator 19 which performs comparison operation between a flow rate signal from the flow sensor 15 and the standard flow rate value stored in the standard flow rate memory 18; and an output part 20 which outputs an abnormal signal of a coating gun 5, when the flow rate of the powdered paint in the powdered paint supply pipe 11 is less than the standard flow rate value stored in the standard flow rate memory 18. |
