Provided is a method for producing a fluorine group-containing haloolefin compound with which side production of perfluorination product can be inhibited during the production of a fluorine group-containing haloolefin compound and the desired product can be produced at a high purity and high yield. This method for producing a haloolefin compound is a method for producing a fluorine group-containing haloolefin compound by means of a step for fluorination of a starting material containing at least one of a pentachloropropane and tetrachloropropene in a reactor in the presence of a fluorination agent, wherein the method comprises a step for adding hydrogen chloride to the reactor. This composition comprises hydrogen chloride and at least one selected from the group consisting of pentachloropropane and tetrachloropropene. |
