PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode manufacturing method capable of preventing nonuniformity in thickness of an insulation layer covering an active material layer, and an electrode manufacturing device.SOLUTION: An electrode manufacturing method for intermittently applying active material paste to a strip-like metal foil and alternately providing, in a length direction of a strip-like metal foil, a formation part covered with an active material layer and a non-formation part which is not covered by the active material layer includes: a masking step (step S4) of disposing a masking tape in the non-formation part and masking the non-formation part; an insulation layer forming step (step S5) of forming an insulation layer so as to cover the formation part by moving the strip-like metal foil along a length direction while discharging a ceramic mixture containing insulative ceramic particles from a spray head to the formation part; and a removal step (step S7) of removing the masking tape. |
