The invention relates to an explosive-free projectile (100, 100', 100") for a munition, which projectile upon disintegration in the target releases at least phosphorus(V) oxide as a hygroscopic substance and which reacts with phosphorus(V) oxide or the substance mixture containing phosphorus(V) oxide to release heat by reaction with air moisture and/or a further substance in the form of 1,2-propanediol or a 1,2-propanediol-containing substance mixture that is integrated in the munition. The heat tone generated on disintegration of the explosive-free projectile (100, 100', 100") is used for detection by means of thermal imaging devices. The explosive-free projectile (100, 100', 100") according to the invention contains, in addition to the component(s) for generating a thermal signature, further substances or substance mixtures, which are spatially separated from the latter, for generating a signature that is visible and/or perceptible by means of night vision devices. |
