The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for measuring spatial movements of plant structures, such as pipes, due for example to the movement of the ground in the presence of landslide phenomena, subsidence, collapse or differential settling. The measuring apparatus (10) of spatial movements of a plant structure (20) according to the present invention comprises at least one ground station (11) which communicates with at least one corresponding signal-sending satellite station, the ground station (11) being connected in a movable manner to a support (12) constrainable in a fixed manner to said plant structure (20), the ground structure (11) having an initial azimuthal orientation (A0) and an initial azimuthal height (h0), characterised in that the ground station (11) is moved with respect to the support (12) via means (17) for adjusting the orientation and height of the same (11) so as to compensate for an instantaneous orientation (A)and height (h) that are different from the initial orientation (A0) and height (h0). |
