Various implementations identify instructions from a user interface to graphically display various view modes that include a global view mode showing all active connections between inputs and outputs or one or more program modes showing all active connections for identified input(s) or identified output(s). Some implementations also provide user interface functions to dynamically query, control, or configure the device and the connectivity between the inputs and the outputs based at least in part upon various view modes of the connectivity of the device.

A computer implemented method for providing graphical cross connectivity and dynamic configurability for interconnection between multiple inputs and multiple outputs, comprising: identifying multiple inputs and multiple outputs that are connected to a radio frequency switch matrix; configuring graphical representations of the multiple inputs and the multiple outputs at least by arranging the multiple inputs into a first row of a plurality of rows of graphical elements in a same orientation and arranging the multiple outputs into one or more remaining rows of the plurality of rows in the graphical cross connectivity interface; identifying one or more instructions from the graphical cross connectivity interface to configure connectivity between the multiple inputs and the multiple outputs; transmitting the one or more instructions to a server that is connected to the radio frequency switch matrix and further invokes a connectivity configuration process in response to the one or more instructions; identifying or configuring, at the server with the connectivity configuration process, the connectivity between the multiple inputs and the multiple outputs of the radio frequency switch matrix in response to the one or more instructions; displaying the connectivity with one or more line segments interconnecting one or more pairs of inputs and outputs, which has been identified or configured, in the graphical cross connectivity interface at least by querying the radio frequency switch matrix to obtain current connections between the multiple inputs and the multiple outputs for the connectivity rather than by using a plurality of query processes or network round-trips, wherein the first row is opposing the one or more remaining rows, and the first row for the multiple inputs and the one or more remaining rows for the multiple outputs are arranged to sandwich at least one region for displaying the connectivity; and overlaying display contents in an input program mode, which displays current, active connections between an input and at least some of the multiple outputs, with different display contents in a global view mode, which displays all possible connections, and representing the input with first emphasis or first distinction from one or more remaining inputs of the multiple inputs.
