a transmitter configured to transmit data on the dynamic fare collection data probe; a receiver configured to receive data on the dynamic fare collection data probe; a transmitter gain option configured to control an intensity level of the transmitter; a receiver gain option configured to control an intensity level of the receiver; a processor configured to select the transmitter gain option and receiver gain option; and a voltage protector configured to limit voltage supply to the dynamic fare collection data probe.
