1. A mechanical shuffler, comprising:
a dealing rack comprising a plurality of receptacles, wherein the dealing rack is configured to enable a group of cards in the plurality of receptacles of the dealing rack to be removed from the plurality of receptacles of the dealing rack as a complete set; and a programmable computer-controlled mechanism for placing each card of the group of cards into a randomly selected one of the plurality of receptacles in the dealing rack.
