A relationship chain processing method. The method comprises: detecting whether a forward-direction relationship chain user set corresponding to a currently detected user identifier stored in each internet data centre is consistent with a corresponding reverse-direction relationship chain user set, wherein the forward-direction relationship chain user set comprises a user identifier of a social friend added by a corresponding currently detected user identifier, the reverse-direction relationship chain user set comprises a user identifier where the currently detected user identifier is added as the social friend, and the reverse-direction relationship chain user set is composed of user identifiers which correspond to the reverse-direction relationship chain user set and comprise the currently detected user identifier; and if the two sets are inconsistent, performing consistency recovery on the inconsistent forward-direction relationship chain user set and/or the corresponding reverse-direction relationship chain user set. |
