The present invention discloses a method and device for transmitting channel state information, the method comprising: generating a null data packet (NDP), the null data packet having an HE-LTF and a packet expansion field for causing a target STA to perform channel estimation, or the null data packet having an HE-LTF and an additional HE-LTF for causing the target STA to perform channel estimation. Applying the above method and device can avoid resource wastage caused when a part of stations do not support instantaneous feedback, improving channel state information transmission efficiency.
