The present invention relates to a drilling machine (10) for carrying out excavation in the ground (S) in a vertical drilling direction (F). Said drilling machine comprises: a mounting (12) having a longitudinal direction (L); a drilling module (14) provided with cutting members (16), the drilling module being translatable relative to the mounting; and a movement device, arranged between the mounting and the drilling module, for moving the drilling module (14) relative to the mounting in the longitudinal direction of the mounting.
