Disclosed is a power transmission device that is provided with: a power supply; a primary-side coil that outputs power supplied from the power supply to a secondary-side coil by means of magnetic resonance such that a power reception device can supply a load with a load current, said power reception device including the secondary-side coil and a capacitor connected to the secondary-side coil in parallel; a variable capacitor connected in series between the power supply and the primary-side coil; and a control device that adjusts the capacitance value of the variable capacitor so that a current flowing between the power supply and the primary-side coil is maximum. |
