Provided is an in-vehicle stereo camera device that is capable of achieving high-precision distance detection. The in-vehicle stereo camera device is provided with: a left camera and a right camera that are disposed on a vehicle via a holding section in such a manner as to cause the fields of view of the respective cameras to overlap with each other; a stereo processing unit that calculates the distance to an object outside the vehicle on the basis of images captured by the left and right cameras and the positions of the cameras on the vehicle; a first geomagnetic sensor and a second geomagnetic sensor disposed in the vicinities of the left and right cameras; and a third geomagnetic sensor disposed on the holding section. The stereo processing unit detects positional displacement of the left or right camera through a comparison between a geomagnetic field value detected by the first or second geomagnetic sensor and a geomagnetic field value detected by the third geomagnetic sensor, and changes cut-out positions of the images captured by the left or right camera, according to the positional displacement.
