Abstract The present invention relates to a processing system and methods for detecting Climbing Suspension Trauma, and automatically initiating a request for assistance. An accelerometer, typically incorporated in the climber's phone, is used to detect the fall, and a heart rate meter, worn by the climber, is used to detect suspension trauma. The alarm is automatically sent to one or more third parties to initiate a rescue. |
