A method of operation in a system to generate customized orderable articles, the system which comprises at least one processor and at least one processor-readable medium communicatively coupled to the at least one processor, and at least one communications port that provides communications, the method comprising: for a first instance of a first article that comprises a first container and a first set of two or more items to be held by the first container, receiving, by the at least one processor, information that represents a selection indicative of a first item of the two or more items;comparing, by the at least one processor, an opening value indicative of a defined dimension of an opening in the first container to a value indicative of at least one defined outer dimension of the first item;determining, by the at least one processor, whether the first item will fit through the opening in the first container based on the comparison of the opening value and the at least one defined outer dimension of the first item;comparing, by the at least one processor, a capacity value indicative of a defined capacity of the first container with a value indicative of a defined volume of the first item;determining, by the at least one processor, whether the first item will fit in the first container based on the comparison of the capacity value indicative of the defined capacity of the first container with the value indicative of the defined volume of the first item; andcausing at least one notification to be provided, via the at least one communications port, based on at least one of the determinations with respect to the first item.
