A modular system for holding portable electronic devices comprising a frame (20) having a plurality of holding elements (21, 22, 23, 24) whose distance therebetween can be modified and a pair of legs (40). Each leg (40) is coupled to each side of the frame by one end of the leg (40) by means of a first ball and socket joint (31) and is coupled by the other end to a tripod (10) by means of a second ball and socket joint (32). The system can be disassembled.
