This blower device is provided with: a motor; an annular cover; an impeller; and an impeller housing. The impeller includes a base portion and a moving blade. The impeller housing includes an exhaust guide portion which extends, outside an outer end in a radial direction of the impeller, outward in the radial direction and downward. The annular cover includes an annular cover upper surface portion opposing the base portion in an axial direction, and an annular-cover outer edge portion positioned outside the radial direction outer end of the impeller. An outer surface of the annular-cover outer edge portion and an inner surface of the exhaust guide portion are disposed across a gap, wherein the gap constitutes a flow passageway for guiding fluid that flows from the impeller, the gap having a first width which, in a region outside a radial direction inner end of the annular-cover outer edge portion and inside a radial direction outer end of the annular-cover outer edge portion, corresponds to the shortest distance between the outer surface of the annular-cover outer edge portion and the inner surface of the exhaust guide portion, wherein the first width is smaller than an inflow opening width of the gap through which the fluid flows into the gap and an outflow opening width of the gap through which the fluid flows out of the gap. |
