Provided are a projection-type display device for a work machine and a projection control method with which it is possible to effectively assist construction work. A projection-type display device (HUD 10), which is installed in a construction machine 100 having a windshield 5, presents a wide range of work assistance information by projecting image light such that a virtual image is visible on a first projection range (5A) and a second projection range (5B) of the windshield 5, and by projecting the image light such that a real image is visible on a third projection range (5C). |
