A scroll compressor is configured so as to accommodate within an enclosed container: a compression mechanism provided with a stationary scroll and an orbiting scroll; and a drive section for the compression mechanism. A suction pipe extends through the enclosed container and is connected to the suction opening of the stationary scroll, and a check valve is provided at the suction opening. The scroll compressor is provided with: a suction pipe insertion section which is provided to the stationary scroll and in which the suction pipe is inserted; a seal material for sealing between the suction pipe insertion section and the suction pipe; and a damper plate provided at the suction pipe insertion section, which is located between the lower end of the suction pipe and the check valve. The provided scroll compressor can be manufactured at low cost while the gas-tightness of the check valve is maintained. |
