Provided are a state estimation program and a state estimation device whereby errors in determinations of state transitions are reduced compared to when the present configuration is not employed. A state estimation device (1) comprises: a primary state estimation means (100) for estimating a primary state of a user who is portably carrying a sensor (12), from sensor information which is obtained from the sensor (12); a pattern detection means (101) for detecting, from the sensor information, a predetermined pattern; a secondary state estimation means (104) for estimating a secondary state from the first state and a transition probability; and a transition probability selection means (103) for, when a plurality of transition probabilities is registered as a plurality of probabilities of transitioning of the secondary state, selecting different transition probabilities in a circumstance wherein the pattern detection means (101) detects the pattern and a circumstance wherein the pattern detection means (101) does not detect the pattern. |
