An objective of the present invention provides a method and apparatus for providing services to a remote UE. The PCRF requests the SPR for the service configuration information of the remote UE based on the IP-CAN session establish request from the remote UE or the relay UE; then, the PCRF generates a service chain policy for the remote UE based on the obtained service configuration information of the remote UE, the service chain policy indicating the network service used by the remote UE, use condition, and use sequence. The PCRF transmits the service chain policy to the PCEF, such that the PCEF implements the policy. The present invention fills in the blank of the existing technology, such that the remote UE can use the network service dynamically, flexibly, and reasonably. |
