Provided are a screen sharing device, a screen sharing method, a screen sharing system, and a program therefor, which enable screen sharing devices and terminals having different size display units to share a screen in a manner that prevents the screen from looking strange to users. This screen sharing device 100a is communicatively connected to a communication terminal 100b and is provided with a display unit, wherein the screen sharing device 100a: defines part or all of the display unit as a shared area; obtains the vertical dimension and the horizontal dimension of the displayable area of the communication terminal; compares the defined shared area with the obtained vertical and horizontal dimensions of the displayable area; calculates the ratio between predetermined parameters; and sizes the shared area so as to match the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the display unit while maintaining the calculated ratio. The screen sharing device 100a then transmits screen data displayed in the sized shared area to the communication terminal 100b, and the communication terminal 100b receives and displays the screen data. |
