A learning assistance system is provided with: a problem-setting unit configured so as to set a user a problem for learning through a display device; a generation unit configured so as to generate an electronic notepad in accordance with a write operation from the user through an input device integrated with the display device or attached to the display device; and a determination unit configured so as to determine a new problem to be set to the user on the basis of the electronic notepad generated by the generation unit, the electronic notepad including content written by the user in a problem-answering process. The problem-setting unit sets a problem determined by the determination unit.
