The present invention manufactures high silicon steel strips that have excellent surface properties with high reaction efficiency. The method has a basic configuration such that partition plates 2, which are parallel to a steel strip path line along the longitudinal direction of a furnace, are provided from positions near each gas nozzle 1, and dams 3, which face the partition plate ends 20 in the longitudinal direction of the furnace and are for damming gas flow along the steel strip, are provided, and as a result: siliconization spaces s surrounded by the steel strip, partition plates 2 and a dam 3 are formed; gaps ea, etc. between the partition plate ends 20 and the dams 3 form discharge sections e for discharging gas from the siliconization spaces s into the intra-furnace space outside same; and after blowing process gas from each gas nozzle 1 onto the steel strip surface, the process gas flowing inside the siliconization spaces s is discharged from the discharge sections e. In said basic configuration, the area of the discharge sections e with respect to the volume of the siliconization spaces s is optimized under specific conditions according to the amount of steel strips inside the siliconization spaces s. |
