In the case of a vehicular liquid crystal display device that is installed in a state of being inclined upward for easy viewing by a driver, because a display screen thereof is reflected on the windshield, the driver's field of view is obstructed. Thus, the present invention provides a vehicular liquid crystal display device that reduces such a reflection. The vehicular liquid crystal display device is equipped with a liquid crystal panel and a backlight for illuminating the liquid crystal panel, wherein a peak angle of the backlight is set such that the backlight is oriented downward with respect to the frontward direction of the liquid crystal panel. |
