Password setting equipment, which is realized by adopting a password setting method. The method comprises: providing a first keyboard layout and a second keyboard layout, wherein each keyboard layout is provided with a plurality of key positions, a mapping relationship exists between each key position and an information unit consisting of a plurality of information elements, and the information unit corresponding to any key position of the first keyboard layout and the information unit corresponding to any key position of the second keyboard layout are mutually incongruent (S11); displaying the two keyboard layouts, and separately and correspondingly receiving two rounds of key position selections based on different keyboard layouts so as to acquire two corresponding information unit sequences (S12); and comparing, according to the input order, two rounds of information unit sequences, determining common information elements in the information units corresponding to the key positions in the same input order as set information elements, and serially connecting, according to the positions, the set information elements, and setting the connected set information elements as a password (S13). Also provided are a password setting method and corresponding equipment for a physical keyboard. The password setting method and the corresponding equipment can ensure that a password of a user in the password setting process is prevented from being revealed by diffusing input contents of the user; and in addition, the password of the user can be accurately determined only by two inputs and one comparison, thereby improving the safety and the operability in the password setting process. |
