The present teaching relates to providing dynamic advertisements for comparison. In one example, a request is received for selecting advertisement. The request incorporates a query. The query is analyzed to determine a category of product and determine one or more attributes of the category of product based on the query. At least one advertisement associated with the category of product is selected based on the one or more attributes and the request. An instruction on presentation of the at least one advertisement is generated in accordance with the one or more attributes. Information related to the instruction and the at least one advertisement is sent as a response to the request.

1. A method, implemented on a machine having at least one processor, storage, and a communication platform connected to a network for providing advertisement, the method comprising:
receiving a request for selecting advertisement, wherein the request incorporates a query; analyzing the query to determine a category of product and determine one or more attributes of the category of product based on the query; selecting at least one advertisement associated with the category of product based on the one or more attributes and the request; generating an instruction on presentation of the at least one advertisement in accordance with the one or more attributes; and sending information related to the instruction and the at least one advertisement as a response to the request.
