Provided are a category information generating device and the like that enable high-speed search processing on log information. A category information generating device 501 is provided with: an identifier generating unit 502 which generates a measurement identifier enabling unique identification of a measured value, obtained by measurement regarding communication performed via a communication network, in measurement information obtained by associating the measured value with a resource identifier enabling identification of a device having generated the measured value; an extracting unit 503 which extracts, from the measurement information, a particular measured value associated with a corresponding resource identifier, when the resource identifier in the measurement information satisfies a condition regarding the resource identifier and a condition regarding the resource identifier in extraction information obtained by associating an extraction article representing an article to be extracted from the measurement information when the former condition is satisfied, with an extraction information identifier enabling identification of the extraction article; a reading unit 504 which reads, from the particular measured value, a value representing the extraction article in the extraction information; and a category information generating unit 505 which generates category information by associating the value read by the reading unit 504 with the measurement identifier representing the particular measured value and the extraction information identifier in the extraction information. |
