Furniture for a television set for accommodating a flat screen television set (1) in a TV opening (3) surrounded by a support frame (2), - wherein the support frame (2) comprises a floor-mounted TV base (4) that has a TV surface (5), which faces upwards and in the direction of the TV opening (3), for holding a television set (1) and for supporting the mass forces of the television set (1), - wherein the support frame (2) comprises two side supports (6) which are arranged or can be arranged laterally of the TV opening (3) and which are connected or can be connected to the TV base (4) at their respective lower regions, - wherein the support frame (2) comprises a ledge carrier (7) which is situated above the TV opening (3) and is supported on the two side supports (6), - wherein a cover (9) is provided which masks or at least partially covers the TV opening (3) on the front side, and wherein the support frame (2) and the furniture for a television set are formed at least partially from flat, thin-walled panel parts (8) that are assembled to form hollow bodies and/or are bent. |
