Provided is a tire condition detection device that is placed on each of a plurality of wheels of a vehicle. The vehicle has a rotation position detection unit that detects the rotation position of each of the plurality of wheels. The tire condition detection device is provided with: a condition detection unit that detects the condition of a tire; an acceleration sensor that rotates integrally with a wheel and detects a gravitational acceleration value; an acquisition unit that acquires the gravitational acceleration value at every predetermined angle in one rotation of the wheel; a calculation unit that, if the angle of the wheel when the gravitational acceleration value is acquired is used as the acquisition angle, calculates the acceleration difference between a gravitational acceleration value acquired at a first acquisition angle, which is an acquisition angle after the acquisition angle at which the increase/decrease of the gravitational acceleration value reverses, and a gravitational acceleration value acquired at a second acquisition angle, which is an acquisition angle prior to the first acquisition angle; a storage unit in which is stored a correction formula for correcting to an angle for which the first acquisition angle is predetermined from the acceleration difference and which is predetermined, on the basis of the angle difference between adjacent acquisition angles and the angle difference between the first acquisition angle and the second acquisition angle; a transmission unit that transmits a transmission signal which includes information indicating the predetermined angle, in addition to information indicating the tire condition; and a control unit which transmits a transmission signal toward a wheel position identification device that identifies on which wheel each tire condition detection device is placed, by acquiring the rotation position of the wheel detected by the rotation position detection unit upon receipt of the transmission signal transmitted from the transmission unit. |
