A paper sheets processing machine 10 is provided with: a first sensing unit 22a which senses a cut portion of paper sheets being transported by a transport unit 20; a paper sheets storage and feed-out device (such as a temporary accumulation unit 40) in which the paper sheets delivered from the transport unit 20 are stored, and from which the paper sheets stored therein are fed out to the transport unit 20 one sheet at a time; and a control unit 35 which controls the transport unit 20 so as to switch the transport destination of the paper sheets between the paper sheets storage and feed-out device and other locations, on the basis of the position of the cut portion of the paper sheets sensed by the first sensing unit 22a. |
